Kasia
Play Therapist
Hi, I am Kasia! My expertise is strongly rooted in child/person - centered
approaches to didactic and therapeutic processes. My professional journey
began over thirty years ago, and it has offered me the joy of being an
international teacher, consultant, leader, counselor, and family - child
therapist, in many countries around the globe. While working with “Third
Culture Kids” (TCK), I observed a particular pattern of emotional barriers to
learning and I decided to pursue my inquiry further. I undertook a post
graduate degree and became an accredited Play & Creative Arts Therapist.
The most difficult question for me to answer is: “Where are you from?” For
global nomads, that might mean all the countries they lived in, absorbed the
culture of, learned the languages of and made friendships in.
As for me personally, I grew up in two countries, in Poland and in the charming
region of Somerset in the UK. Throughout my adult life, I have considered all
the countries I lived in as home.
My current home is in the scenic area of Lake Como, Italy, on the border with
Switzerland.
I specialize in:
• Play & Creative Arts Therapy: problematic behavior at school/home, learning
disabilities, illness, aggressive/angry behavior, coping with family issues,
divorce, separation, death, natural disasters, war, trauma of any kind,
domestic violence, abuse, neglect, anxiety, depression, phobias, eating
disorders, bed wetting, ADHD and ASD
• Education: learning & teaching support
• Consultations: guiding schools in development of child centered programs
• Workshops: training staff members
• Counseling: advisory & referrals
