We want to help you understand how insurance works with our services at Linden Global Learning. Here are some frequently asked questions:

Can I get reimbursed by insurance for services that I or my child receive from a Linden Global Learning specialist?
Linden Global Learning is an educational service provider, not a medical service provider. As such, our services are not covered by the German statutory health insurance (Gesetzliche Krankenversicherung). If you hold a private health insurance (German or international), we recommend that you contact your insurance prior to starting services to clarify if services can be reimbursed and under what terms.

Can my child receive a medical diagnosis by Linden Global Learning?
If your child goes through an extensive evaluation by a Linden Global Learning specialist, such as a psychoeducational assessment or an assessment by a speech and language pathologist/occupational therapist, you will receive a thorough report with details about the scope of the assessment, tools that were used, and a summary of findings, including recommendations for interventions and therapies. However, we cannot provide a medical diagnosis, such as a DSM or ICD-10 diagnosis.

Do you collaborate with any medical insurance companies on an ongoing basis?
Yes, Linden Global Learning is a partner and service provider of Geo Blue, Tricare, and CISI.

My insurance would like to receive more information about the service I'm getting to make a decision about reimbursement. What information are you able to provide?*
We can provide you with the following information:

Qualifications and licensing information of the specialist you are working with

An evaluation report (if an evaluation was carried out)

A brief summary (1-2 pages) of the services, including presenting problem, treatment goals, number of sessions conducted, treatment tools, treatment progress, and future recommendations for intervention.

If your child has a previous medical diagnosis in writing, we may, in limited cases, be able to add a diagnostic code to your invoice for their services.

We can provide a pre-approval letter with the costs and services needed, upon request (please note that the insurance may still not approve it)

*Please take into consideration that all communication with your insurance provider will be done by you if they are not already collaborating with Linden Global Learning.

Can you add certain wording to my invoices to ease processing via my insurance?
Yes, in most cases. Please get in touch and we are happy to help if we can. Of course, we cannot guarantee that your insurance company will accept our invoice. If you would require more information for your insurance, this can be added to your invoice under the address line as "references" where we can provide more detailed information about the sessions, the specific need for the session, or plans for future sessions. As mentioned earlier, we can only add recommendations, not medical diagnoses.
