Jimena
Learning Support Specialist & Counselor
Hi, I’m Jimena. I’m a psychologist with a passion for helping children and adolescents develop emotional and behavioral skills that improve their daily lives. My goal is to support children in managing their emotions, building confidence, and developing the tools they need to thrive.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in Mexico and my Master’s in Clinical Psychology in Germany. I also completed additional training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for children and adolescents, as well as interventions for neurodevelopmental disorders. My research focused on helping parents strengthen their connection with their children and support their emotional regulation, especially in kids with autism.
For over five years, I have worked in international schools, clinics, and psychoeducational programs, providing counseling, learning support and behavioral support. I work closely with students facing learning difficulties, emotional challenges, and developmental disorders. I have experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, and behavioral or emotional difficulties. Additionally, I collaborate with families to provide early intervention, behavioral support, counseling, and parent coaching.
I specialize in helping children and adolescents manage anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, emotional regulation, and major life changes such as moving, family separation, or divorce. My approach is centered on equipping children and their families with practical tools to navigate challenges with confidence.
I am fluent in both Spanish and English and work with families from diverse backgrounds, tailoring my support to each child’s unique needs. I believe that with the right guidance, every child can develop the skills they need to feel more in control and succeed in their own way.
I look forward to working with you and your child.
