Sara E

Speech & Language Pathologist

Hi, I am Sara, an Egyptian Speech and Language Therapist with a Bachelor’s degree in Phonetics and Linguistics from Alexandria University (2008), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Phoniatrics and Logopedics from the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University (2011).

I gained extensive clinical experience working with both pediatric and geriatric patients in various clinical settings. In 2012, I relocated to Dubai where I further gained clinical experience working in multidisciplinary teams as a pediatric bilingual speech and language therapist. During my 14 years of clinical experience in Egypt, Dubai, I worked with many children and their families to support them with their speech and language development in a range of international settings, including, clinics, schools, nurseries, and hospitals.

In Dubai, I worked at the UAE's first children’s specialty hospital, as a Speech and Language Therapist in the Neurorehabilitation department and was also a member of the Hearing Rehabilitation team. My responsibilities included supporting children with a diverse range of diagnoses, such as receptive and expressive language disorders, speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, and dyslexia. Additionally, I worked with patient’s post-cleft lip and palatal surgery, focusing on addressing issues related to hypernasality. Part of my role included raising awareness about the early signs of speech and language delay and the importance of early intervention, which I communicated through presentations for parents at schools and kindergartens.

In 2020 I moved to Germany to for Master’s in International Experimental and Clinical Linguistics from the University of Potsdam in Germany which I completed in 2023. During my Master’s education, I completed two courses on evidence-based practices, which enhanced my skills in delivering effective speech and language therapy interventions. After the completion of my Master’s, I started working in an international school in Berlin as individual Support Teacher for Special Needs Children and a member of the Learning Support Team. I collaborate with both families and educators to foster, inclusive, and supportive environment that supports each child’s development and engagement.

I specialize in working with children and adolescents with various diagnoses, including receptive and expressive language disorders, speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, and dyslexia.

I am from Egypt and I speak Arabic and English.
